Georgina covers a lot more water than its name suggests. The town takes in Keswick on the east side of Cook’s Bay, Jackson’s Point and its harbour on the open lake, Sutton up the Black River, and the string of shoreline communities running east through Virginia, Belhaven, Pefferlaw and Port Bolster. Roughly fifty thousand people live here, and a large share of them keep something on the water.
It is also the closest real boating water to the north end of the GTA. With the 404 now running up to Ravenshoe Road, a Newmarket or Aurora driveway is well under half an hour from a launch ramp. That produces a particular kind of customer: a trailered boat that lives at a house rather than a cottage, and an owner who has nowhere sensible to put it once the season ends.
Which runs straight into Georgina’s own parking bylaws. The town restricts how long a boat or trailer can sit in a residential driveway, and a lot of owners find that out in November. We take the boat, wrap it, and keep it off your driveway until spring. We also store trailers on their own through the summer, which is the same problem in the other direction.

Jackson’s Point and the open south shore take wind off the whole lake. A wrap that was fine in a sheltered bay is not automatically fine here.
